The beginning was set on July 5, 1911, and the association was called "Bulgarian
sports club "and in 1933 the name was changed to" Bulgarian Tennis Club "/ BTC /.
Among the founders are Dr. Vladimir Mirkov, Dr. Tsachev, Eng. V. Karakashev, Eng. Karamfilov, R. Kuyumdjian, N. Yankulov, N. Pipev and A. Protich, recalls Dr. Todorov.
Mayor Batalov leased a plot of land in Borisova Garden, which was then at the very end of
Sofia. At this place the founders built two red ones with their own forces and means
court and pavilion in front of them. The successor of this club is TC "Levski". Right on the courts of BTC
The first international tennis tournament in Bulgaria is held. This happened in 1934
year, as the competition is under the patronage of the then mayor Eng. Ivan Ivanov.

In the early 70s of the twentieth century a new base of TC "Levski" was built, which
it still exists today. In 2000, an inflatable balloon was purchased, which allows
year-round use of the club courts. It was made in 2008
major repairs to the stands and locker rooms and new lighting was installed, which
meets all the requirements of the IP.

Since 1991, the Allianz Cup women's tournament has been held at the base in the center of Sofia
which over the years has featured female tennis stars such as Patti Schneider, Vera
Dushevina, Nuria Lagosgera, Andrea Petkovic, Petra Kvitova, Jelena Dokic, Alexandra
Dyulgeru, Tatiana Garbin, Alise Cornet, Anna-Lena Groenefeld, Eleni Danilidou, Simona
Halep et al.
